How to find us
Location
The Translational Medicine Research Collaboration (TMRC) is located on James Arrott Drive at Ninewells Hospital and has its own entrance, separate to that of the main hospital entrance. Please come directly to the TMRC entrance, following the directions detailed below:
Arriving by Bus
When you arrive at the hospital bus stance please DO NOT enter the main hospital entrance. Instead you may either:
Use the courtesy minibus that runs approximately every 15 minutes from the main hospital entrance - please ask the driver to stop at the Clinical Research Centre and the TMRC is the building to the left of this building. (You should plan to arrive at Ninewells approximately 30 minutes prior to your appointment to allow adequate time)
or
Walk (approximately 5 minutes) from the main bus/taxi stance by footpath, following the signs for Tayside Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Technology (TORT) Centre. The TMRC can be reached by going down the flight of steps between the multi storey car park and the TORT building. Proceed with care down the steps and then through the blue gate. Turn right and proceed to the pedestrian crossing, where you can cross the road - please take care. The TMRC is the building furthest to your left.
Arriving byTrain
Dundee Station offers connections to all rail routes. Taxis are available at the station. The TMRC is a 10-15 minute journey by taxi.
Arriving by Plane
Dundee airport provides links with London City airport, as well as a number of other destinations. Taxis are available at the airport. The TMRC is a 5 minute journey by taxi.
Arriving by Taxi
Ask for the TMRC, James Arrott Drive, Ninewells Hospital. The TMRC is the first building on the left (if travelling from the east gate) and there is a dropping off point just outside the TMRC entrance.
Arriving By Car
The TMRC has no parking spaces, therefore, you will need to park in the multi storey car park (No 8) which is located on Ninewells Drive. Cost is £1.70 (pay for ticket at machine prior to leaving the main door of car park). To get to the TMRC from the multi-storey, there is a flight of steps (around 20 steps) on the left when you come out of the main door of the car park. These steps lead down between the multi storey car park and the TORT centre. Proceed with care down the steps and then go through the blue gate. Turn right and proceed to the pedestrian crossing, where you can cross the road to the TMRC. Please take care.
If you park in any of the other hospital car parks, please DO NOT go to the main hospital entrance. Instead you should make your way, by the footpath, to the multi storey car park/TORT Centre and follow the directions from there as described in the above paragraph.
