Maggie McCann, BA (Hons)
Maggie joined TMRC in January 2007 and is Senior Administrator within the group. Prior to 2007, Maggie spent 15+ years working within the Higher Education sector where she was involved in the supervision of staff, acted as secretary to various committees and exam boards and was the administrative contact for quality assurance processes within her section. Maggie was also the primary Scottish contact and conference manager/administrator (in conjunction with Canadian and English colleagues) for the planning and execution of a yearly conference which attracted senior academics from the African continent to Dundee. Her HE experience, together with her knowledge of HE protocol, is vast and encompasses a considerable understanding of HE systems and processes. Maggie currently provides administrative support to the Director of the unit, the Lab Director, 3 Translational Scientists and other members of the Senior Management Group, as and when required. Her admin skills are considerable and her background is in Business and Management, although her specific strength is in the area of event planning and organisation. She has been heavily involved with the organisation of the TMRC Annual Symposia in 2007 and 2008 and oversees many of the events which take place within the lab. |

Laura Cramb
Laura Cramb joined the TMRC in June 2008 as Clerical Assistant as part of the Admin team. Her main function is to provide Admin Support to the four Group Leaders as well as supporting the Programme Manager. Laura also assists Dr Steve Moore, Lab Director with the financial dealings of TMRC. Since moving to Ninewells Laura is now situated at Reception and is first point of contact for visitors. Before joining TMRC Laura worked as a legal secretary engaged in various administrative functions. She gained her SVQ in Administration in 2004. Laura is now working towards a HNC in Admin & IT at Dundee College and hopes to have gained this by September 2010. |

Stuart MacPhail
Stuart MacPhail joined the TMRC in December 2008 as the Porter. His duties include distribution of deliveries and mail, lab waste management, room set ups, storage of gases, reception cover, set up of rooms and maintaining the good appearance of the building. Before joining TMRC Stuart was a full time firefighter for 30 years with Tayside Fire & Rescue and is also a time served plumber. |

Leanne Townshend
Leanne Townshend joined the TMRC in January 2009 as a Laboratory Support Technical Assistant. Her main duties include cleaning and sterilisation of laboratory glassware, safe disposal of laboratory waste and ensuring general laboratory cleanliness and replenishing stocks. Before joining TMRC she worked for a year at the Welcome Trust Building with the College of Life Sciences doing a similar job. |
